The Rhode Island Consortium for Autism Research and Treatment (RI-CART) is pleased to announce a 2-day clinical training workshop for use of the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule, 2nd Edition (ADOS-2). The training will take place at Women & Infants Hospital on September 28 – 29, 2016. Continue Education credits will be offered.

The ADOS-2 is a gold-standard clinical interview and observational measure of autism symptoms that is appropriate for children and adults across a wide range of cognitive and language abilities. The use of the ADOS-2 enhances the accuracy of diagnostic evaluations, providing a standardized observation that can be used in conjunction with other clinical assessments and interviews. More information about the ADOS-2 can be found at WPS. The 2-day training will include an up-to-date description of the instrument, video presentations of example administrations, and live demonstrations by the trainer. Participants will have the opportunity to score the ADOS-2 after these demonstrations in an interactive, workshop format. We have tried to keep the cost low for this program, and the 2-day cost is 20% lower than other programs advertised elsewhere.

Space is rather limited, so please contact us as soon as possible to reserve a spot. If there is sufficient interest, we can consider additional future training dates.
