Chapter Highlights
- Collaborate on numerous grants including; Project Firstline, Healthy People 2030, Abbott Nutrition, AHA Heart Grant
- Sponsor quarterly Town Halls with Hasbro Children’s Hospital leadership
- Represent pediatric providers on Governor’s working groups and numerous state committees
- Sponsor legislative advocacy day for pediatric residents
- Provide legislative testimony on numerous bills to improve children’s health and well-being, increase pediatric provider payments, and address pediatric provider workforce shortage
- Track over 80 bills per year and provide advocacy mentorship
- Sponsor CME opportunities and networking opportunities
- Maintains close working relationship with state agencies such as the Department of Health, state Medicaid, Office of the Insurance Commissioner, and many other community-based organizations.
- Facilitate bimonthly Pediatric Council meetings
- Provide members with regular updates on pediatric health, pediatric provider payments, and educational opportunities
- Offer chapter, state and national leadership opportunities
